Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the allSow application, operated by allsow.com. By using the app, you agree to comply with this policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the app.
This AUP should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Intended use
allSow is designed for personal, community, and professional garden planning, plant tracking, crop scheduling, and environmental monitoring. You may use the app to:
- Plan and manage your gardens, areas, plants, and crops
- Upload and organise photos of your gardens and plants
- Share garden access with other gardeners you invite
- Connect IoT sensors to monitor environmental conditions
- Export and back up your garden data
2. Your account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You may sign in with Apple or Google — do not share your credentials with others
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the app
- You may create multiple gardens for legitimate gardening, horticultural, or professional purposes
3. Acceptable conduct
When using the app, you agree to:
- Respect the access role assigned to you in shared gardens (owner, gardener, or visitor)
- Use sharing and invite features only to invite people you know and intend to collaborate with
- Upload only photos that you own or have the right to use
- Use sensor integrations only with devices you own or are authorised to operate
4. Prohibited activities
You must not use the app to:
4.1 Content violations
- Upload, store, or share content that is illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, or infringes any third party's intellectual property rights
- Upload photos that contain inappropriate, offensive, or illegal imagery
- Store personal data about other individuals without their consent
4.2 System abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' gardens or data
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with access controls or role-based permissions
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the app or its APIs
- Deliberately overload the service with excessive requests, uploads, or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
4.3 Security violations
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the app or its infrastructure
- Attempt to access Firebase, Cloudflare R2, or any backend service outside of the app's intended interfaces
- Intercept, monitor, or tamper with data transmitted between the app and its servers
- Share invite links publicly or distribute them to unintended recipients to gain unauthorised access
4.4 Misuse of sharing features
- Invite users to a garden for purposes unrelated to gardening or collaboration
- Use the garden sharing functionality to distribute spam, advertisements, or unsolicited communications
- Create gardens or content for the sole purpose of harassing or surveilling another person
4.5 Commercial misuse
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the app without our written consent
- Use the app to operate a competing service
- Scrape or bulk-export data from the app for commercial purposes
5. Photos and storage
- Photos uploaded to the app should be relevant to your gardens, plants, areas, or crops
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any photo
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates this policy, though we do not routinely monitor uploaded content
- Storage is provided on a fair-use basis — excessive or abusive usage may result in restrictions on your account
6. Sensor and IoT usage
- You may only register sensors that you own or are authorised to use
- Sensor data is stored alongside your garden data and subject to the same access controls
- You must not use the app to collect environmental data for unlawful surveillance or monitoring of other people's property without their consent
7. Shared gardens and collaboration
- Garden owners are responsible for managing access to their gardens
- If invited to a shared garden, you must respect the role assigned to you and must not attempt to escalate your permissions
- Garden owners may change your role, disable your access, or remove you at any time
- If your access is disabled, you must not attempt to regain access without the owner's permission
8. Enforcement
We reserve the right to take action if we reasonably believe you have violated this policy. Actions may include:
- Issuing a warning
- Temporarily or permanently suspending your account
- Removing content that violates this policy
- Revoking access to shared gardens
- Reporting illegal activity to the appropriate authorities
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except where immediate action is required to protect the service or other users.
9. Reporting violations
If you believe another user is violating this policy, please contact us with as much detail as possible — including the garden name and a description of the issue.
10. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Growing zone estimates, sowing windows, and schedule suggestions are approximate and should not be relied upon as the sole source of horticultural guidance.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
