We read every message. Please include:

We can't guarantee same-day replies, but we'll respond as soon as we can.

Before you write in

  1. Update the app to the latest version from the App Store
  2. Check your network — many issues are caused by offline or flaky Wi-Fi or mobile data
  3. Sign out and back in only if support asks, or if you're troubleshooting sign-in specifically — signing out doesn't delete your cloud data

Frequently asked questions

Account & sign-in
How do I create an account?
Use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google on the sign-in screen. Your garden data is tied to that account — use the same method each time you sign in.
I can't sign in.
Check your device's date and time, your network connection, and that you're using the same sign-in method as before. If you see an error message, quote it exactly when you email support.
Can I use allSow on more than one device?
Yes. Install the app on each device and sign in with the same account. Your data syncs over the internet.
Data, sync & backup
Where is my data stored?
In the cloud, associated with your account. The app syncs when you're online. See our privacy policy for details of which services we use.
How do I back up my garden?
Use the in-app garden backup from the Garden tab — it produces a JSON file you can keep somewhere safe. You can also export your plant library to CSV from the plant library options.
I deleted something by mistake.
If a plant was marked as expired you may be able to restore it from the library. If something was permanently deleted, recovery may not be possible — email support with details and timing and we'll do what we can.
Sharing & invites
How do I invite someone to my garden?
Go to Garden → Access and create an invite link. Send it to them — they'll need an allSow account to accept.
What's the difference between a gardener and a visitor?
Gardeners can add and edit content; visitors can view but not change anything. Owners have full control including sharing and garden settings.
My invite link doesn't work or has expired.
Ask the garden owner to generate a new invite. Links are time-limited.
I lost access to a shared garden.
The owner may have changed your role or removed you. Only the owner can restore access.
Plant library, imports & exports
How does seed packet import work?
Tap + in the Plants tab and choose to photograph a seed packet. allSow uses text recognition and AI to suggest plant details — sowing windows, spacing, and more. Always review and edit before saving.
Can I import plants from a spreadsheet?
Where CSV import is available, use the plant library options and follow the format notes. If you're unsure of the expected format, email support and we'll send you a template.
Can I export my plants?
Yes. Use the bulk actions in the plant library to export a CSV of your selected plants — or export all from the library options.
Schedule, crops & tasks
What's the difference between a plan and a crop?
A plan is what you intend to sow or plant. A crop is the actual record of what happened, with real dates. Plans become crops as the season progresses.
Why don't I see a task in the schedule?
Check the month, any area filters, and whether "show completed" is enabled. Garden tasks and crop schedule tasks are listed separately — make sure you're looking in the right place.
Sensors (LoRaWAN / The Things Network)
How do I connect a sensor?
Go to Garden → Sensors. Copy the webhook URL and paste it into your TTN application's HTTP integration. Then add your device by its Device EUI and assign it to an area. Readings will appear in the area detail and Sensors widget.
I'm not seeing any readings.
Confirm TTN is sending uplinks, the Device EUI matches exactly, the webhook URL is complete including any query parameters, and the sensor is assigned to an area. Allow a few minutes after setup before expecting data.
Does allSow sell sensors or hardware?
No. The sensor integration is for users who already have — or choose to buy — compatible LoRaWAN devices and a TTN setup. It's entirely optional.
Widgets & notifications
My widget shows "open the app" or no data.
Open the app while online to refresh the cached data the widget reads. Check that the widget is configured for the correct garden.
I'm not receiving sensor alerts.
Check that notifications are enabled for allSow in your device's system Settings, that alert rules are configured in the app, and that your sensor is online and sending data.
Platforms
Is there an Android version?
Not yet — but the architecture makes this possible and it's definitely in our thoughts. Like gardens, it's important not to start too many projects at once.
Is there a Mac app?
Yes. allSow runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The layout adapts — sidebar on Mac, tabs on iPhone and iPad — but your data is the same across all three.
Something works on iPhone but not Mac, or vice versa.
Please mention both platforms when you email support so we can reproduce the issue.
Data security & privacy
Who can see my garden data?
Only you — and anyone you explicitly invite to a shared garden. allSow staff do not browse or access your garden content. Your data is associated with your account and not visible to other users.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Data at rest is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage), which encrypts data at rest by default. Photos are stored in Cloudflare R2, which also encrypts at rest.
Do you sell my data or use it for advertising?
No. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to target you with ads. We do not use your garden data to train AI models.
Where is my data stored?
Garden data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which uses Google Cloud infrastructure. Photos are stored in Cloudflare R2. Both services operate across multiple regions for reliability. See our privacy policy for the full list of services we use.
What happens to my data if I stop using the app?
Your data stays in your account until you choose to delete it. We do not automatically delete inactive accounts. If you want everything removed, use the account deletion option in the app or email support@allsow.com — we will delete all your data within 30 days.
Can I export everything before I leave?
Yes. You can export your plant library as CSV and back up each garden as a JSON file from within the app, any time. Your data is yours to take.
Do you comply with GDPR?
Yes. allSow is operated from the UK and we take our obligations under UK GDPR seriously. You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email support@allsow.com.
